For the second year in a row, the Sioux Falls School District is proud to be called one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association for Music Merchants Foundation. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the commitment of our students, and to the close ties that have grown together over the years in our music education community. Wow! SFSD is so grateful to the Sioux Falls STORM, LEVO, and media partners KELOLand TV for supporting Operation Hope & Caring where $18,417 was raised to support elementary schools that don't have PTAs/PTOs. We had a great time at the game and especially enjoyed the WIN! ❤️

Our Cleveland Cubs surpassed the schoolwide goal of earning 5,000 ROAR slips for the month of April.
5th grade students played against staff members in a game of basketball at an all-school assembly today!
Although the teachers claimed the WIN, our Cubs didn't disappoint nor did they sulk. Good sportsmanship was shown by all who participated. The cheering section was the loudest of all!
THANK YOU Cleveland students for continuing to make our school a SAFE place where ALL students can LEARN! This is done by showing ROARing behavior each day!

The Weather Service indicates the greatest threat of severe weather did not materialize in Sioux Falls. We will begin our bus routes at approximately 3pm, so there will be a slight delay in getting elementary and middle school students home. High School dismisses at normal time.
Due to the weather 4-30-24, SFSD will hold all elementary students who walk or ride the bus until the system passes. We expect the system to arrive about 2:45pm and be done around 3pm. Busses will not leave the elementary schools until it is safe to do so. This will also cause a delay in middle school bus routes, so plan accordingly. If wx is still an issue at high school dismissal time, we will encourage students to wait to leave until the system passes. Thank you.
Weather may cause some challenges at school dismissal time today. SFSD will make plans with your child's safety as our highest priority. If there are changes, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately. We ask that you please monitor your phone and email closely.

Cleveland Cubs are doing a ROARing job with fundraising for playground equipment! In the first week of fundraising, the Cleveland Cubs earned a total amount of $4,028! We are already so close to our Cleveland goal of $5,000 as a school and we have 3 weeks of fundraising left! So, keep knocking on those doors, asking friends and family for donations because the Cleveland Cubs can do anything they set their minds to! Just think of what we can buy for our playground with all of this money! Keep working hard! Here is an example of a Facebook post that we made for you to copy and edit for your child to help spread the word online about our fundraiser. When your child collects donations, they will go in drawings to win prizes! Hello family and friends! _________ is collecting donations for her school's Fun Run Fundraiser! Cleveland Elementary is hosting a Fun Run Fundraiser to raise money for new playground equipment! All donations go directly to Cleveland school! You could donate by cash, check, or Venmo!
